The funny thing about people who cheat to raise ranks is that it screws them over in the end. In games like Halo 3 where people were cheating to get their levels up quickly, they found that they were suddenly only matched up against other high level players and they weren't good enough to compete with them since they only knew how to win by cheating.

Absolutely. I believe it entices them to cheat, but I also think they do it just to be jerks. You know the whole "internet+anonymity+crowd =" equation right? Surely that alone is enough motivation for those lowlifes.

Good episode. It's about time someone addressed the issue of cheating I remember on MGO what people would do to get a good rank. Do you think ranking systems entice people to cheat?

You're right. The Wii has had a terrible drought as of late. Right now there are only a small handful of games on the system that have me interested, with Punch-Out!! being the most notable.

Jeff you are right, the Wii does have some legitimate games, and it undoubtedly will in the future. But how many of the games you listed were released in the last six months or so? None. I have played all of the must-haves and they are beatable within 20 hours. I am still waiting for that 50+ hour RPG or that addicting sports title.

Perhaps I have too much time on my hands...

Well, I actually have more games for the Wii than I do the PS3, so it's kind of sad to say, but I think the Wii is a more viable console than the PS3. If a game is multiplatform, I'm always going with the 360 version due to a much better online experience, so by default the PS3 is only used for console exclusives.

Nintendo gets enough quirky games worth playing on the Wii (Elebits, Trauma Center, Boom Blox, etc.) to justify it as a second console. Add in the must own Nintendo games (Galaxy, Brawl, Prime, etc.) and you have a good system. Yes, the 360 is the one to own if you only have one console, but the Wii offers plenty in regards to a secondary console.

I like my PS3, but it's definitely the GameCube of this generation.

I agree. When my brother had one the games were awful the only cool thing about it was the virtual arcade. As for PS3 sure they're dropping the price on it but taking out features along the way and losing exclusives one by one.
