The Stupid Gamer

It’s finally coming. On September 11th the first Neo Geo title will come to the Virtual Console. SNK’s famous fighter, Fatal Fury, will be the first release on Nintendo’s download service. The Neo Geo is an excellent gaming platform that say limited success do to its insanely high cost. Even with the prices, however, the Neo Geo is home to many classic fighters, shooters, and action titles.

This is excellent news for any fan of old-school gaming that never got much of a chance to experience the Neo Geo firsthand.

There are now 100 Virtual Console games available. Within the list, there are some gems, some good games, some decent games, and some stinkers. I’m going to give my opinion on which games you should definitely buy (the bolded titles), should try if you never have before (italicized), and those that are up to your own discretion (no special markings).
