I've been plowing through Metroid Prime after picking up the trilogy the other day. It only has five or six levels, all of which you have to go to again and again, whether to attain necessary artifacts and items, or to pass through to get to another section.

Would you say Nintendo employed a "cheap tactic to make the games feel longer or to inflate the time needed to complete the game"? Remember, I am talking Metroid prime, a game that has garnered the highest of accolades.

I never could get into Halo, so I probably won't pick up ODST, but I think the levels in Metroid are so well and intricately designed that it's easy to forgive them for having so few levels.

I enjoyed Halo 1, but wasn't interested enough to pick up any of the other games. I guess I'm old fashioned as I still prefer my mouse and keyboard for FPS games.
