Ok, so it’s NPD time again. It’s also everybody’s favorite month to analyze. We’ll start off with the month’s numbers and then show the top ten for the entire year.

    Especially this year, when Madden sucked worse than it has for years.

    I haven’t bought Madden in 4 years. It’s basically the same thing every year with a new cover, updated stats based on last season’s performance, and new rosters. I still need to get GTA IV, I just got around to NG 2.

    I still have a blast playing Madden despite it’s plethora of flaws. I am really surprised, though, at how indistinguishable this year’s and last year’s installments are. The only discernible difference in the gameplay is that wideouts don’t make as many amazing one-handed catches in the endzone. I really hope EA stops coming up with gimmicky shit like Madden IQ and work on building a deep franchise mode and glitch-free gameplay.

    I’m beyond excited, Matt. I may see if I can get it for both PS3 and 360 since I have friends that don’t own both consoles, and I want to be able to play the game with as many friends as possible.

    I am very excited about SFIV too! I can’t wait! As a PS3 owner, I would have liked to see more PS3 stuff on those lists. I personally think the PS3′s marketing has gone way down hill. I didn’t see a single PS3 commercial in Dec. and on those same stations saw the 360 lego indy/kung fu panda bundle commercial at least once per hour. That focus on marketing shows, as the 360 really gained on the Wii!
