Online gaming is a primary reason people are buying games today. The more cheating equals the less people who are going to want to play ultimately and this means more used copies of the game ending up on ebay or at Gamestop. Developers should want to do something about it because word of mouth could get around about the cheaters on their game and that would mean less sales.
