Psychonauts, Earthbound, Indigo Prophecy.) I can, with only one reservation, add MGS4 to that list. Unless you've played the games before it, playing the new Metal Gear Solid is like watching an incredible film in a foreign language. That's the danger of having a long-running series with such a detailed storyline, and it's both a blessing and a curse. I hope people who are unfamiliar with the previous games will give them a shot before passing judgment on the final chapter, but for those who know the series well, Guns of the Patriots is a true masterpiece.
