Contest: Win a Fire Emblem title of your choice

On December 12, 2007, in Contests, by Jeff Rivera

The rules to this little contest are easy. Simply post a comment below and say what you want us to suck less at with the site and we’ll toss all the names in a hat (a top hat, actually) and draw one name to be our lucky winner. The winner will get to choose any of the Fire Emblem titles available in North America.

Now, if for some wild and crazy reason you don’t want Fire Emblem, we’ll also be willing to give out $50 in cash or a gift card (to Amazon) in lieu of the game. I guess it’s entirely possible that you might already own every Fire Emblem, but that should be your only excuse for taking the cash.

I’ll take a free game any day.

  • poochucka

    More podcasts.

  • PackerFan

Get rid of that long category list on the side.

  • Nintend00mer

do more reviews. you have like 5 of them.

  • Curtis

Gonna have to agree with the above: More Podcasts. (Also, trimming down the categories on the right wouldn’t hurt.)

  • BSquared

    What’s a fire emblem?

  • Deez33

The podcasts that i have listened to have been very good. I would like to see more in depth game reviews. You always have a list of games coming out, maybe choose 1 a week and give a “Why people should buy or rent this game”. Also, if you want to suck less, limit Jeff’s role and increase the others responsibility. Just a suggestion.

  • Jabe

More podcasts and racy pictures of women.

  • Withheld

more podcasts and better podcast equipment. your podcasts topics are good though.

  • Brandon

In addition to the Podcasts and trimmer categories, I’d like to see more reviews. It’s always good to hear from someone who knows what they are talking about.

OMG LUV UR SITE 4 LIFE!!!!! Also, what happened to the SFII and other images at the top of title/header bar?

Stoopid Gamer Fan #1!!! I totally agree with darknynja… I mentioned it the first time I saw that they were missing, I understand if there was some sort of copyright problem, it is good to avoid confrontation… but I really enjoyed them. Also, I agree with everything, especially RAT’s comment. I think you should just do a regular podcast, either once a month, or twice a month, just something regular that could be counted on. I don’t think trimming the categories is something that you should worry about; I think it is part of the stupidgamer charm. I also would like an update on the Dance Dance Revolution weight loss challenge… I lose sleep over not hearing a conclusion on that one. Back to the podcasts, I enjoy all the participants in the podcast, but I know it must be a huge pain to get all three of you guys together at one time. I would suggest putting out a podcast no matter who is participating; if you can only get 2 of 3, or 1 of 3 just do it, maybe trim it down a bit… you could also have special guests (pluim’s deep melodic voice is bound to attract hoards of men, women and children to stupidgamer). To expound on Deez’s comment, I would suggest a Stupidgamer Thumbs Up, or Thumbs Down (which might be even more helpful), on weekly game releases. I think you should also do a game of the month on each of the major systems, and an overall game of the month. Also, I know that you get games far before the gaming public, and I think some regular in depth Previews would be really well received. When I think about what I turn to other gaming sites for, it is mostly for previews of games I hear about. My goal was to create the longest comment, and I think I have achieved my aim with these 325 words.

I think the site could use more cowbell.

… as if you haven’t already heard enough of me, here I go again. I think the most entertaining post thus far was the Gaming Setup Hall of Shame Vol I-III. I would like to see a weekly nominee, or monthly… I showed that post, and emailed to a ton of people, and they all thought it was hilarious.

more behind the scenes footage from the spike awards of the models getting painted

  • Westonian

Definitely more reviews. And if you need someone to cover high def movies, then I’m your woman.

  • feelinblu

i think if you expanded to cover tech a bit that would be nice. i use my ps3 for blu ray a ton and would like a look at br news.

  • DrShaw

    OMG!@?@?

  • Matthew Taylor

sliming down the categories bar would make the site a little neater. and maybe a new color scheme altogether. one thing i do like is the simplicity of the site design, and the quality of the posts, of course.
