I fly solo this week as I was unable to get in touch with Miguel and Stephen to record the show. I know, it’s a shame, but this is better than nothing, right? Well, maybe not, but you should listen to it anyway. Man, I say “definitely” a lot. It’s definitely too much. Oh, and sorry about the hard swallows, I have a sore throat and cough, so I had to fight those off constantly.
Show notes:

  • Super Mario Galaxy leaked to torrents already
  • End of quarter MS, Sony, Nintendo loss/gains
  • PSP Slim impressions
  • Discussion (how can you have a discussion with only one guy?): Atmospheric games
  • Game Recommendation
  • What I’ve been playing
  • Pleading and rambling for comments/feedback/suggestions. It’s almost begging, but best described as babbling.
  • Note: The full version of the intro music can be found here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=lnedHQEGKmg

If you want a great atmospheric game, try Killer 7. Everything in the game is geared towards just providing a psychedelic experience.

Also the Silent Hill franchise is one of the best examples of atmosphere. Only game that has truly managed to creep me out in a substantial way. I remember when I first played the original in high school. I didn’t care for hospitals beforehand (still don’t) and I liked them less afterwards.
