For anybody that remembers Bill Cosby’s cameo on The Simpsons, they’ll appreciate this remixed music video. It’s awesome.

Now, aren’t you a better person for having seen that? Too bad it just kind of cuts off there…

Yay? These colors are hideous and shouldn’t be in the hand of any gamers. Well, for the ladies I guess they’re somewhat ok. I think they should make the pink one incompatible with Halo 3 though.

Yesterday Itagaki, of Team Ninja, confirmed that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be releasing on the Xbox 360 in 2008. What’s more interesting than that, however, is that Microsoft will be publishing the title here in North America? With Microsoft getting the publishing rights, it seems that the title will indeed remain exclusive to the Xbox 360.

It’s actually a relief to see that the game isn’t going to join an already overly packed release schedule this year. While I would have found a way to make time for Team Ninja’s newest effort, I’ll be much happier being able to dedicate a proper amount of time to the title when it launches next year.

Yes, the headline is correct. Treasure’s Dreamcast/arcade/GameCube classic shooter is coming to Xbox Live Arcade. Not much more needs to be said except for that the game is a required download for each and every 360 owner. If you don’t download the game, I’m pretty sure you deserve the eventual red rings of death.

Also coming to XBLA:

  • Rez - Holy crap awesome rhythm shooter
  • Exit - Pretty solid and entertaining platformer/puzzler
  • Every Extra Extend Extreme - Neat rhythm puzzler from the maker of Lumines
  • Omega Five - Never played this one…

Seriously, boys and girls. Ikaruga will rock your face off. It’s just a shame that the 360 d-pad is so terrible. Maybe it’s time to either track down the Dead or Alive 4 stick, or look into a custom arcade joystick solution.

Through an official PR release by Activision today, Call of Duty 4’s final release date was finally announced. CoD4: Modern Warfare brings the franchise out of World War II and into a modern-day setting. The game is developed by Infinity Ward, the same guys that did Call of Duty 1 and 2 (the good ones, remember?).

Call of Duty 4 looks to be a winner in a packed Fall/Holiday release schedule.
The ongoing beta demo through Xbox Live has been received extremely well by those participating for an extremely solid multiplayer experience. To me, however, Call of Duty has always been about the intense single-player campaigns. While I’ve always had fun hopping online to fight other people, it’s the hectic feeling of war that the game manages to capture that made me such a fan of the series. This game is definitely on my must-have list.

Updates on the blog have been pretty slow lately, but that’s due to a combination of factors. I’ve been under a serious time crunch as I’m trying to get moved into a new home, get caught up at work, and am buried with a few game reviews. We’ll get through this slow period soon enough and the awesomeness will resume in full force.

Expect a podcast this week…hopefully with Miguel. Right now he’s feeling the wrath of hurricane Felix. Good luck, Miggy!
